Who can deny that the telescopic slide of the Trombone, which varies the length of the tube to change pitches, is one of the most interesting instruments they have ever seen or even heard? I know I can’t. The trombone is the perfect instrument for conveying emotion whether it is corky and upbeat or sad and solemn, this one instrument can nail them all with just a slide of the bar.
Trombones are a little difficult to find used as well but you can expect to pay any where between $200 and $2,000 used depending on the brand you choose. As always the highest quality brands are those made by Getzen and King, but Conn and Holton as well as a few others are also very dependable and much more affordable.
